The Ijazah Program caters to a specific group of students who are dedicated to achieving the highest standards in Quranic education. Reciters ready to be examined, not just taught.
An ijāzah is not a certificate of attendance; it is a licence of transmission, granted only when a student's recitation withstands examination before a teacher whose own chain reaches the Prophet ﷺ. The Programme prepares candidates for that examination and conducts it: complete recitation, corrected āyah by āyah, to the standard the chain demands.
We confirm every candidate's readiness at the Recitation Consultation before enrolment. The requirements below are the minimum to begin; the course takes you well beyond them.

Duration is the honest variable. An ijāzah takes as long as the recitation takes to be worthy of it; our students have completed across timescales from a small number of terms to several years. The pathway is priced by term so that the commitment renews on evidence, not hope.

We hold to the examination culture of the world's leading institutes of Qur'ān: recitation is heard in full, every error is counted, and the chain is guarded rigorously before it is ever granted. Our teachers carry their ijāzāt from the most prestigious seminaries of the Muslim world, and the Programme asks of every candidate exactly what that tradition asked of them.
Between examinations sits ṣuḥbah, the sustained companionship of teacher and candidate in which precision is built slowly and made permanent, never crammed for assessment. The chain transmits character alongside the letters, and we teach to that standard: an ijāzah from El Badr is granted only when the recitation, and the reciter, are worthy of the tradition it joins.

Terms: Fees are paid in full and in advance, per twelve session/week term. Certification follows the closing examination, not the final payment. The ijāzah is granted on readiness alone, never on payment or time served, and each term renews by your Qārī's written recommendation.

We do not offer trials, and deliberately so. Enrolment is a minimum commitment of one term of twelve lessons, because that is the shortest span in which real change in recitation takes root.
